Iberian Ibex Stalking
Specialized in its hunting

Season: From October to May.
Recommended dates: Between November and December (rutting season), especially for trophies.
The stalking of the Iberian ibex (macho montés) is one of the most popular hunts for hunters worldwide. The Sierra Nevada subspecies is among the most prized trophies in Europe. This emblematic and exclusive species of our country sparks the interest of high mountain stalking enthusiasts, both domestic and international hunters.
With the arrival of the first cold days in October, the instinct to perpetuate the species awakens in the mountain goats. During their rutting season, in November and December, we find the best dates to hunt a macho montés. The large specimens leave their secluded summer refuges and become easier to spot, already sporting their characteristic black winter coat.
There are four types of macho montés in Spain, spread across different mountain ranges. We will help you pursue each of them in a Grand Slam format or by seasons, traveling across our country, guided by the best hunting guides in the area. Different animals and environments make this high mountain stalking an unforgettable experience.
- Sierra Nevada Iberian Ibex: This subspecies of mountain goat is found on the Iberian Peninsula, mainly in Sierra Nevada. It has large backward-curving, horn-shaped horns. Hunting in rugged terrain makes stalking the macho montés a unique experience since these animals are skilled climbers.
- Gredos Iberian Ibex: This subspecies inhabits the Sierra de Gredos and other mountainous areas of Spain. The stalking of the Gredos macho montés is the most representative and valued in Spain. Its lyre-shaped horns make it the most sought after.
- Beceite Iberian Ibex: Found in the Beceite region in northeastern Spain, an extraordinary trophy, the Beceite macho montés has airplane-shaped horns with a wide spread and spectacular appearance. Hunting the Beceite ibex offers an exciting experience in a mountainous and challenging environment, just 3 hours from Madrid.
- Ronda Iberian Ibex: A subspecies of mountain goat located in southern Spain in small populations. Hunting this goat will give you a unique trophy, flatter and smaller in size than other animals.
Each of these Iberian ibex subspecies in Spain has its own distinctive characteristics and hunting challenges, making them exciting targets for hunting and nature enthusiasts.
