Deer Stalking

The red deer, scientifically known as Cervus elaphus, is the most common deer species in Spain. It is a large and majestic animal, known for its impressive antlers and graceful movements. Red deer inhabit a variety of environments, such as forests and meadows.

Red deer are herbivores and feed on a wide variety of plants. The males, known as stags, have antlers that they use to display dominance during the mating season.

Mating takes place in the autumn, and after a gestation period of about 8 months, the females—called hinds—give birth to a single fawn. Deer hold cultural significance and are admired for their beauty and symbolism.
